What if every ending is also a beginning? What if the way we meet life's small losses and changes is preparing us for the biggest one? What if we could learn to rest in uncertainty instead of bracing against it?
In How We Live Is How We Die, beloved Buddhist teacher Pema Chödrön draws on the Tibetan teachings of the bardos, the in-between spaces of transition, to show us that life and death aren't separate. Every moment is a passage: something ending, something arising. With warmth, humor, and deep compassion, Pema invites us to befriend impermanence, soften around our difficult emotions, and discover that the groundlessness we fear can become a doorway to openness, freedom, and love.
