What if your inner critic is holding you back more than helping you succeed?
So many of us move through life pushing ourselves harder and harder, only to feel drained, stressed, and never “enough.” Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) offers a different way—a way to motivate and care for yourself with kindness rather than criticism.
This 6-week short course gives you the core practices and concepts of MSC, along with resources to support your learning: guided recordings, short assignments, and community discussions.
Many students describe this course as a warm doorway into greater ease, resilience, and self-kindness. It’s a wonderful complement to our MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) and NVC (Nonviolent Communication) courses, and for many, it sparks a desire to go deeper.

Meet Your Teacher: Dr. Patty Shutt is a deeply grounded and experienced mindfulness teacher with over two decades of guiding others through meditation and therapeutic healing. As a practicing psychologist and longtime practitioner of mindfulness and self-compassion, Patty brings warmth, honesty, and a deep respect for the human journey to every class she leads.
She creates a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where students can explore mindfulness with curiosity and self-compassion—no matter where they’re starting from.
Her classes are known to be both calming and transformative, filled with insight, humor, and practical skills that extend far beyond the cushion.

Patty is donating 33% of the class proceeds towards supporting the construction of medicine houses in the Amazon Rainforest. Patty and Lizzie visited Brazil in October 2025 for a women's retreat and met the shaman, Nato Tupinambá. He cares for the regions people traveling to provide medicinal and energetic healing. He has a dream now to create a "Medicine House" for people to come to him for healing. Your purchase will go towards recourses needed to build this healing center.
