Beginning Mindfulness Meditation Series

6-Week Hybrid Class: In-person at Sacred Treehouse in Boca Raton or attend via Zoom

Whether you're new to meditation or looking for grounded community to enhance your mindfulness journey, this 6-week mindfulness series offers a gentle yet powerful way to reduce stress, feel more at peace, and navigate life with more clarity, compassion, and presence.

What You’ll Experience:

  • Weekly Guided Meditation — Practice with live instruction by Dr. Patty Shutt, who will teach formal and informal trauma-informed mindfulness-based meditations

  • Mindfulness Teachings — Explore core teachings of mindfulness meditation in an accessible, grounded way based on the teachings of Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, Thich Nhat Hanh, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Kristen Neff and others

  • Tools for Daily Life — Learn how to respond rather than react in daily life, building nonjudgemental, curious awareness to create more ease and less stress

  • Opportunities for Reflection and Questions — Group sharing and questions for the teacher will be woven throughout to allow for community connection and wisdom to be shared 

Meet Your Teacher: Dr. Patty Shutt is a deeply grounded and experienced mindfulness teacher with over two decades of guiding others through meditation and therapeutic healing. As a practicing psychologist and longtime practitioner of mindfulness and self-compassion, Patty brings warmth, honesty, and a deep respect for the human journey to every class she leads.

She creates a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where students can explore mindfulness with curiosity and self-compassion—no matter where they’re starting from.

Her classes are known to be both calming and transformative, filled with insight, humor, and practical skills that extend far beyond the cushion.
