Mindful Teens

A path to less stress and more calm

Mindful Teens is an 8-week, in-person mindfulness group designed to help teens navigate stress, emotions, and the everyday pressures of growing up with greater awareness and confidence.

Through guided mindfulness practices, group discussion, and practical skills, teens will learn how to slow down, manage stress, connect with their emotions, and respond to challenging moments with greater intention. Led by Mackenzie Lyons, M.Ed., NCC, RMHCI, this supportive group provides a space for teens to build mindfulness skills they can carry with them into school, relationships, and everyday life.

The group begins October 1st and meets Thursday evenings at 5:00 PM for 8 weeks.

Meet Your Instructor,

Mackenzie Lyons, NCC, RMHCI, M.Ed

Mackenzie Lyons is a mental health counselor who is passionate about helping teens better understand themselves, navigate stress, and develop skills that support their emotional well-being. With a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University and specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mackenzie brings a warm, compassionate, and practical approach to her work with adolescents.

Mackenzie believes that mindfulness can be a powerful tool for helping teens slow down, reconnect with themselves, and feel more grounded in the middle of life’s everyday pressures. She creates a welcoming, judgment-free environment where teens can explore mindfulness in a way that feels approachable, relevant, and useful to their real lives.

Through this group, Mackenzie hopes to give teens more than just mindfulness practices—they’ll develop practical tools they can use to manage stress, navigate difficult emotions, strengthen self-awareness, and approach life with greater intention and confidence. She considers it a privilege to support teens as they learn to pause, tune in, and build a stronger relationship with themselves.
